An automatic watch is mechanical: a rotor winds a mainspring as your wrist moves, and the mainspring drives the gears. No battery — but it stops when the power reserve runs out, typically after 24–72 hours, and needs to be wound or worn again.
A quartz watch is battery-powered and regulated by a quartz crystal vibrating at a stable frequency. It is the most accurate common movement type and the most common in our catalog — 20 models, spanning sport, field, and dress watches.
